If you notice uneven gaps between the Lori Bed cabinet and platform (for example, one leg rubbing or not closing smoothly), the issue is almost always due to the plumb and leveling of the cabinet. This is normal and can be corrected without loosening screws or taking the bed apart.
How to Fix Uneven Gaps
1. Keep the platform and mattress in place
Make adjustments with the platform and mattress installed so you can see the alignment while making the correction.
👉 The platform should be raised to the closed position and locked while you adjust the cabinet.
2. Determine which way to adjust
- If the gap is larger on the upper right, shift the bottom of the cabinet to the right.
- If the gap is larger on the upper left, shift the bottom of the cabinet to the left.
3. Shift the bottom of the cabinet
The top of the cabinet stays anchored to the wall. The bottom has a small amount of flexibility for fine-tuning.
- Apply gentle, controlled pressure to the bottom of the cabinet in small increments until the gaps look even and the legs clear smoothly.
- You can do this by:
- Standing and using your foot, keeping your heel planted on the floor for stability.
- Sitting and pressing with the bottom of your foot for more control.
- Wear sneakers for better grip and safety while making the adjustment.
