How do I safely remove the pistons from the Lori Bed?

Here's a step-by-step guide about safely removing the pistons from the Lori Bed.

⚠️ Warning:
Do not remove the pistons until they are fully secured with the Compression Straps. The Lori Bed Cabinet must remain securely anchored to the wall at all times.

Follow these steps carefully:

1. Remove the Mechanism Covers on both the left and right sides of the bed cabinet. Save all screws for reinstallation later.
2. Loosen (but do not remove) the piston nuts on both sides using Tool T4.
3. Disengage the StayOpen Locks.
4. Raise the platform to approximately a 30-degree angle from the floor.
5. Slide the Compression Straps over the pistons on both sides. Raise the platform as needed until the pistons are tight within the straps.
6. Secure the pistons to the Compression Straps using zip ties.
7. With a partner holding the platform in place, remove the piston nuts by hand and save them (labeled “I”) for reinstallation. Repeat on both sides.
8. Once the pistons are fully secured by the Compression Straps, remove the pistons from both sides of the bed.
